Founder & CEO

Emily Piché, RVT, CHPT, CPEP

Emily is a passionate End-of-Life Care provider, educator, and speaker.

Death has been her life for nearly six years, and she could have never imagined how deeply she would feel about providing families and their beloved pets with a good death.

She has worked tirelessly to develop an End-of-Life Care training program that will help other Veterinary professionals create a meaningful experience for the families they serve.

Emily has been a pioneer as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) providing End-of-Life Care. She believes her work is a perfect example of how RVTs, with additional training, can be capable and compassionate End-of-Life Care providers.

She hopes that one day, RVTs around the world will be used in this way to help address the shortage that the Veterinary industry is facing.

Event Coordinator

Katelyn Van Casteren

Katelyn’s lifelong passion for animals and personal experiences with veterinary End-of-Life Care have inspired her to join the Art of Goodbye team. She is excited to help improve the quality of veterinary End-of-Life Care around the world.

Sadly, her first veterinary End-of-Life Care experience was incredibly stressful and traumatic for both her pet and her family due to the outdated methods used by the veterinary clinic. This experience left her feeling apprehensive about requiring veterinary End-of-Life Care services in the future.

Her second veterinary End-of-Life Care experience eased her conscience about making the difficult decision to say goodbye to a beloved pet. Emily created an experience that beautifully honoured the family’s bond. Her compassion and professionalism during this extremely difficult time were second to none.

With over 13 years' experience in medical office management, Katelyn’s skills and knowledge will be invaluable in coordinating meaningful and informative veterinary End-of-Life Care Training events.
